Our Training History

Since its inception in 1992, award-winning marketing communications firm, TeamAsia has been at the forefront of delivering results-driven trainings for professionals and business leaders.

At a time when Asia was hungry for management thinking and experience, TeamAsia launched its Executive Speaker Series, a series of public seminars addressing real-life management issues in practical ways. TeamAsia brought to Asia prominent and respected industry experts and best-selling authors, such as:

  • Gary Hamel, author of Get to the Future First and ranked by The Wall Street Journal as the world’s most influential business thinker, and by Fortune magazine as “the world’s leading expert on business strategy;”
  • Fred Wiersema, best known for his seminal work on market leadership and for advancing the practice of customer intimacy, and author of The Discipline of Market Leaders and Winning with Customer Intimacy;
  • Michael Porter, author of Global Competitive Advantage, and a leading authority on competitive strategy and the competitiveness and economic development of nations, states, and regions;
  • Tom Hopkins considered a sales legend who has authored 12 books, including How to Master the Art of Selling and Selling for Dummies.

From 1997 to 2001, TeamAsia organized a series of speaking engagements with distinguished American marketing author, consultant, and Northwestern University Kellogg School of Management professor Philip Kotler, bringing him to Manila, Singapore, Jakarta, and Shanghai. TeamAsia Managing Director Michael Alan Hamlin co-authored several books with Philip Kotler, namely Marketing Asian Places: Attracting Investment, Industry, and Tourism to Cities, States Nations, and High Visibility: Transforming Your Personal and Professional Brand.

TeamAsia also engaged prominent Indian-American author, public speaker, and licensed physician, alternative-medicine advocate and New-Age guru Deepak Chopra to give inspirational talks on topics like Creating Affluence and the Wisdom of Leadership, alternating between Philippines and Hong Kong.

To provide client and customer satisfaction in business, TeamAsia introduced seminars led by Ron Kaufman, top educator and motivational speaker for uplifting customer service. These included Ron Kaufman presents Unbelievable!, Building a Service Culture, and Building Customer Relationships that Sizzle.

Aside from organizing business seminars, TeamAsia also invited motivational speaker and author Mark Victor Hansen to lead three Chicken Soup-inspired talks in Manila and Hong Kong, including Mark Victor Hansen – Living Your Dreams; A Healthy Helping of Chicken Soup for the Soul; Dare to Win by Thinking Bigger than You Ever Thought You Could and Chicken Soup for the Family.

For three consecutive years from 1996-1998, TeamAsia also organized, together with its sister company Success Resources, the National Achievers Congress, considered the biggest gathering of top business leaders and mentors. The Congress featured speakers like Robert Kiyosaki, author of Rich Dad, Poor Dad fame; Daniel Goleman, author of Emotional Intelligence; Brian Tracy, author of The Power of Clarity and Success Mastery, and Andrew Matthews, author of Being Happy, among others.

Driven by her love of teaching, Monette Iturralde-Hamlin began to conduct her own workshops, both public and in-house, including Effective Presentations for Decision Makers, Communicating with Impact, Handling Difficult People, Teambuilding, Strategic Planning, and more.
