Monette Iturralde-Hamlinleveraged her distinguished career in international publishing to conceptualize and create Asia’s first agency dedicated exclusively to corporate identity development and non-traditional marketing communications. As founder and president, she developed the business and creative processes that made TeamAsia not just a pioneer in the continent, but an arbiter of industry performance standards. A hands-on manager, Monette oversees the execution of a wide range of highly targeted events, from exclusive breakfast briefings for top CEOs to gala product launches, and international conferences and exhibitions. Specifically, she has led the management of several large-scale events such as the Philippine AdCongress22, the IT and Business Process Association of the Philippines’ annual International IT-BPM Summit, the Joint Foreign Chambers of the Philippines' ARANGKADA 2014, the Internet and Mobile Marketing Association of the Philippines Summit, and the Pacific Insurance Conference 2015, among many others.
A popular speaker in her own right, Monette regularly delivers workshops on business writing, public presentation skills, cross-cultural sensitivity, sales, team building, event management, corporate social responsibility, communications, and handling difficult people. She is also frequently invited to various events to speak on women empowerment, corporate social responsibility, and the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Events (MICE) Industry. At the 2014 APEC Women and the Economic Forum held in Beijing, China, she was the only Filipino speaker in the Women in Business Community Forum.
She also concurrently serves as chairman of the Philippine Association of Convention/Exhibition Organizers and Suppliers; chairman of Hopkins International Partners, Inc.; and a trustee and treasurer of the Women's Business Council of the Philippines. She served for three consecutive years on the Tourism Promotions Board as director representing the Meeting, Incentives Travel, Conventions, Exhibitions & Events Services & Facilities Sector. Monette has been recognized by the International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines as one of the recipients of the 2016 CEO Excel Award.
Monette completed her Bachelor of Arts majoring in Psychology at the College of the Holy Spirit, graduating Summa Cum Laude. Her postgraduate studies were at the Asian Institute of Management where she completed her Master in Business Management with Distinction.
